WORKSHOP
This beginners’ workshop introduces universal, near-universal and common principles and techniques in shamanism, humankind’s oldest healing tradition. Participants will learn the fundamentals of shamanic techniques following the basic structure of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies (FFS) founded by Michael Harner. Participants will be taught to use traditional shamanic journeys to meet their allies, helping spirits and to reconnect with the original strength of our ancestors.
Shamanism has been practiced by human beings around the world for millennia. It is the oldest tradition of healing and offers individuals a way to rediscover the bond with the spirits that has been with us since birth. To walk this path is to remember that we are never alone. Our allies, our guardian spirits, and the wisdom of those who came before us, walk beside us still.
Core Shamanism is not defined by any particular ethnic group nor by any particular ideology.
LOCATION
Mount Olympus in Greece has been a sacred location for millennia. Our workshop site offers a large main building in a large, private park like setting at the base of the mountain.
FACILITATOR
The workshop is facilitated by Kai Uwe-Faust. Since 1999, Kai has studied practical shamanism with the Foundation of Shamanic Studies (FSS). In addition, he has studied under Olaf Bernhardt (Schamanismus e.V, Germany, which he currently is attached to), Tom Cowan (Society for Shamanic Practice, US) and Sandra Ingerman (US). He has assisted with and faciliated numerous workshops. Additionally, he has received teachings in shamanic botany with Maestro Erdinjo and Maestro Eligio (Arkana Spiritual Centre, Peru).
ORGANIZER
My name is Violetta Ellisdottir and I met Kai during his first workshop in Norway where I was a participant. After that I got inspired (or led) to start taking photos. And somehow the right person saw something in them and I was invited to take photos at a Heilung show. And then I went again and again and again. And now I’m dragging Kai to my homeland to meet the old Gods at the entrance of their house at Olympus. I’ve been a volunteer and I’ve also assisted in organising the workshops in Norway since 2023.
PRACTICAL DETAILS
This Basic Workshop is a prerequisite for all further workshops, so upon workshop completion, participants will receive a certificate from Schamanismus e.V.

Deposit of 450€ to reserve your spot is due by October 31st.
This deposit is refundable for 14 days. After this 14 day period, deposits are non-refundable.
The second payment is due by December 7th.
